Do I already need to be a public speaker?
Absolutely not. We have students with all ranges of speaking experience – from beginners to more experienced.
I'm still confused. How can speaking grow my business or my influence?
Creating influence is about marketing your message and marketing is all about getting your message in front of the right people to make them aware and interested in what you can bring to them. Speaking is one of the quickest, most direct, and most effective strategies to accomplish marketing goals. By crafting your message and presenting at places like networking events, industry events, lunch & learns, corporate venues, mom’s clubs, etc. you are able to position yourself as an authority that can provide some type of personal or professional transformation for your audience. Speaker League teaches you how to use this platform to create a steady flow of leads, prospects, and customers to continually grow your business…or to influence the narrative on a topic you are passionate about!
What if I can't make one of the four sessions?
No problem. All classes will be video recorded and made available to all members. However, make every effort to attend – we give live feedback and discussion to help you craft the best messaging possible.
Is this about selling stuff from the stage?
No…and Yes. Speaker League focuses on how to create and deliver a message (whatever message that might be) to produce actions from your audience. The action might be to move forward on your offer (buy something), or to download a resource (lead generation), or to check out your many resources (brand awareness). Whatever impact you want to have, you can use the platform to produce those actions. We do cover the specific case of selling an offer from stage.
Are you saying online marketing is a waste of time?
LOVE this question. Absolutely not. Online marketing can be extremely effective. However, for most people it’s simply not a realistic PRIMARY marketing strategy. We typically recommend a blended marketing approach, making offline marketing (i.e. speaking and networking) the primary focus supported by online components. For instance, during a speaking engagement you offer a valuable download for your audience to learn more. The use of a good marketing automation strategy to deliver your download and automatically keep in touch with your new leads (continue to nurture them online) is extremely effective!
I don't live in Charlotte. Can I still participate?
Absolutely! We LIVE STREAM all the sessions for our out-of-area speakers.
